I don't ever profess to be a great PVPer but if you have trouble with any basics for Holy PVP, I hope this can help some.
Keep in mind that the predominant healing spells used in PVP will be FoL and HS so mp5 is reasonable here.

Talents
Necessities:
Improved Concentration Aura - Absolutely divine in arena, makes interrupts and silences shorter duration and powerful when used with the next ability.
Aura Mastery - In conjunction with Improved Conc Aura, this is a CD that can prove absolutely useful if you find yourself being focused. If you like to aura switch, this is good for when you want to increase your resistance to Frost, Shadow or Fire. Mainly, this CD is best used with Concentration Aura.
Unyielding Faith - Definitely a necessity as a pure PVP talent.
Divine Favor - Guarantees next heal is a crit? Great! This is a no brainer basically - definite must have!
Holy Shock/Infusion of Light - Absolutely vital in PVP as this is your only mobile heal. It also helps to combine Divine Favor + Holy Shock for an instant FoL right after if someone is getting bursted down (Bonus if they already have SS as they also gain the FoL hot!).
Beacon of Light - No point to being Holy PVP without this spell. Depending on the arena bracket, can be great or subpar. In BGs, great to keep yourself alive.
Divine Illumination - If you especially need to conserve mana but can't stop healing. Basically, another must for holy PVP paladins.
Illumination - This is one of the ways we can regen mana though it has been nerfed, it is still vital in arena.
Optional:
Blessed Life - This talent can be useful for PVP but it is unreliable due to the low proc chance. If you have spare points or you feel that potential extra mitigation is helpful, why not? I tend to lean on the side of the talent not being worth it.
Pure of Heart - This helps out most against DoT heavy classes. It's really personal preference.
Sacred Cleansing - There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding this talent as this is a pure PVP talent but no one can agree that it is 100% needed. This is basically a chance of a chance for it to proc. Some people claim that when it does proc, it can be the edge you need to win against certain teams while others scoff at the RNG involved. Again, it is your choice.
Purifying Power - This is a talent that would help you burst down a low HP opponent due to lower CD of Hand of Wrath, which can allow you to be a tiny bit more offensive. It also reduces mana cost of Cleanse, though it is hard to cleanse so much that your mana pool is running dry. I wouldn't recommend taking this talent.
Divine Intellect - You don't need a huge mana pool to heal in PVP so 1 or 2 points in this talent is usually all you need as the benefits to using the freed up skill points in other talents outweigh the benefit of maxing this out. Again, it's your personal preference.
Light's Grace - Though in arena, FoL is definitely the bread and butter spell, situations can call for use of HL and that is when this talent comes in handy. It is just getting that first crucial HL off that seems to take an eternity!
Enlightened Judgments - This will definitely help get you in combat fastand prevent the initial sap by a rogue.
Fillers: Healing Light, Holy Guidance, Holy Power, Judgments of the Pure, Sanctified Light, Spiritual Focus
PVE Only: Blessed Hands, Improved Blessing of Wisdom, Improved Lay of Hands, Seals of the Pure (ret/prot)
My spec as of 11/5/09
Glyphs
Major
Beacon of Light - Beacon of Light is our most expensive spell. If you anticipate switching Beacon targets around a lot, then this glyph can help save you mana.
Holy Shock - If you feel you need more mobile healing, a shorter CD on Holy Shock may serve you best
Turn Evil - Very useful against DK/lock pets as you can run and cast this on the fly.
Salvation - Gives you another mitigation CD outside of Bubble and BoP.
Seal of Wisdom - Absolutely vital if you have trouble with mana in PVP
Seal of Light - Great for pushing out more healing
Minor
Blessing of Kings - The standard paladin glyph.
The Wise - Standard fare too.
Gems
Use epic or rare quality and gem according to personal preferences or whatever stat is the weakest.
Yellow:
Luminous - SP/int (orange)
Brilliant - int (yellow)
Durable - SP/res (orange)
Mystic - res (yellow)
Red:
Runed - SP (red)
Luminous - SP/int (orange)
Royal - SP/mp5 (purple)
Glowing - SP/stam
Durable - SP/res (orange)
Blue:
Dazzling - int/mp5
Royal - SP/mp5
Timeless - int/stam
Glowing - SP/stam
Note: Usually you should either gem for all SP/mp5 or go int and getting all the socket bonuses.
Minimum Stats
Use this as a rough guideline when you gear your paladin up for PVP. Of course, do whatever is best for your style of play and preference.
Res: 7 - 900 res
Mana: 16 - 18k
SP: ~1.8 - 2k
Crit: ~20% base
Regen: ~1 - 200 mp5
Keep in mind these stats are generally for starting out in arena. Of course, you can start off with much lower stats but having these kind of standards met will make your arena experience much easier.
Keep in mind that the predominant healing spells used in PVP will be FoL and HS so mp5 is reasonable here.
